I’ve been writing for the Gabbing Geek website since January of 2015. Quite frankly, I have a lot of stuff there. I’m still writing stuff over there.

But, in the interests of this place, here are some links to collections of some of the stuff I have over there.

Solo Work

On my own, I’ve produced a few things that, well, got a bit long.

I did a complete read-through of Jeff Smith’s Bone comic book series.

I did a read-through of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series starting just after the author passed away. That series is technically incomplete as of this writing since I opted to do some other books Pratchett co-wrote after I read the last Discworld, and I just could not get into The Long Earth. Someday, I do plan to finish that one up.

There’s the AFI Challenge I gave myself in 2018, the original basis for the Tomcast 2020 podcast. I’ll probably pop some of those articles over here when appropriate.

And it’s not really anything that fits here, but my longest running continuing series is the Misplaced Heroes Case Files where I write up something about a secondary or somewhat forgotten comic book hero.

I also have nearly daily write-ups of individual TV episodes in a wide variety of series. Perhaps most prominently are a (as of today) complete write up of every episode of The Simpsons, but the other really ambitious ones are probably Doctor Who and Star Trek. As in, starting from the earliest episodes and going from there. I may have too much time on my hands.

Collaborations

I’ve also done a number of collaborations over there, but I’ll just mention two I did with my good pal Jimmy Impossible. Besides, Jimmy makes better banners than I do.

First, to catch Jimmy up with all things Game of Thrones, we did the first seven seasons of that show before the eighth and final season came out and made Jimmy sad. We called that run The Westeros Watch.

And finally, we’ve been slowly but surely working our way through the various cartoons that make up the DC Animated Universe. We call that one Going Through The DCAU.
