On My Own Now

So, why do I have my own blog now?

That’s a good question.  I’ve been writing for Gabbing Geek’s blog for years.  Then, suddenly, without warning, the site went down.

Now, I don’t plan on quitting over there.  I’ve put a lot of work into that site.  I mean, I have reviewed every existing episode of The Simpsons to date, most of the original Star Trek, and all 100 of the original AFI movie list.  Plus, nearly 250 Misplaced Comic Book Heroes entries, and various collaborations with Jimmy Impossible.

Point is, when Gabbing Geek goes back up, I’ll go back there.

However, I have my own podcast now.  So, maybe I should also have my own blog.  Besides, I’ll let the Gabbing Geek crowd post here if they ask me nicely.  And maybe other people too.  

I’m a generous man.

So, what is the point of this space?

Well, I’m going to use it to post my movie and book reviews.  I’ll probably double-post them to Gabbing Geek when that site comes back, but this will be my primary space for now.  Heck, I might import the AFI and other stuff here when I able to do so but in my mind, this is a space for reviews, and if the Internet is lacking in anything, it’s people posting movie reviews.

So, for now,  let’s see where I go with this.
